went to catch casino royale and flags of our fathers this week with my bunkmates. 2 different genre of films yet both struck similar chords in my heart.
casino royale is bullshit. lousy cheesy plot and alot of brainless action scenes. but i was amazed by the lifestyle of the rich ppl in the movie. bahamas. yachts. resorts. designer clothes. sports cars. casinos. its a lifestyle that i would nv even dreamt of having. its smth that is totally out of my expectations. they travel around the world like free. visit places of each part of the world like nobody business. while in reality im keepin my wallet in check haha. hmmm i hope when i grow up. one day im going to enjoy my life jus like how they did in the movie. i want to be treated like them. i want to be served. which means i have to start savin up like freak.
fags of our fathers was a better show. talks bout the whole definition of what is a HERO. talks bout moral conduct. it is centred around a photograph which showed 6 soldiers raising and planting the american flag on the soil of iwo jima. it gave an illusion that america is winning the war and the country asked its ppl to but war bonds and halp the country to but more war machines. 3 ppl were shipped back to help with the campaign. they were being labelled heros. one was cool bout it but dint really like the attention. one was the opposite. he was everywhere where the camera went. his fiance was equally attention seeking. however the last one could not take the burden of being labelled as a hero and basically self destructed through alcohol. deep down their hearts. they were not fit to be labelled as a hero cos they knew the real heros were the ones fighting out there and dying for the country. so they did what they could by pleading more ppl to buy bonds to help raise the 14 billion dollars needed to keep america going. it talked bout how each 3 different characters react to the same situation. its interesting. the japanese version is out nxt feb. talks frm the japanese pt of view.
last week of course man. gonna miss the ppl here in signals. lifes like that. takes the nicest things away when your jus bout the keep it.
